Translators are screened not only for ability but also for technical knowledge. Applicants take standardized tests in their technical area. Only a small percentage of applicants meet our quality standards.

Following translation, each document is edited by a staff technical editor or a second translator to ensure technical accuracy and address issues of language nuance. Again, the work is assigned to a specialist according to subject matter.

Document specialists then implement revisions, complete formatting, and insert recreated graphics. These staff members have completed formal training using a training module developed by VCC tailored to the unique production needs of translation clients. Members of the team are further assigned specific software programs in which they continue to hone expertise.

A proofreader provides a third quality check. This review confirms that editing changes and formatting were properly implemented, and that there are no omissions or typographical errors.
